Join the Family.

First West invites you to be a part of our church family! Joining a church can be a little intimidating if you don’t know what to do, but this information is designed to help you through the process. This important decision is worth your time and effort. You will be blessed by being a part of a local group of believers.

First West has some important requirements for membership, and you can begin the process today:

• Every member must first be a part of the family of God by having a salvation experience or a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Every member must follow the Lord in Believer’s Baptism; this means by immersion and after receiving Christ as Savior and Lord.
• Members can join by transfer of letter from a like-minded Southern Baptist Church or through a statement of faith and Christian Baptism.
• Every person interested in membership needs to attend 2 classes. The first is Lunch with the Pastor, which outlines what we believe as a church, as well as, who we are and the basic ministries that serve through the body at First West.  The second is the Next Steps class, which helps you understand what you can expect from our church and we should expect from you.  This class always happens the week after Lunch with the Pastor.
